After his terrific outing in Tumbbad, Sohum Shah is back with yet another banger—a story that delves into the depths of relationships, both personal and professional. Crazy follows Abhimanyu, a man racing to save his daughter. Sohum carries the film as a one-man show, with other characters appearing only as voices on calls, photographs, or video chats.

It’s a tightly knit thriller with heart in the right place—one that makes you overlook the logic of its resolution because you’re too immersed in the raw emotions. (Though you might still have a few questions afterward.) Crazy stands out thanks to its camerawork, brilliant storytelling, and flawless execution. Major kudos to Girish Kohli and Sohum.

The music worked for me, especially the integration of old songs, though the new tracks might need another listen to grow on you. And those meta references? Pure gold—a crow shitting, a T-shirt saying "Sab Theek Hoga," another referencing stars… it’s brilliant. Girish proves we don’t always need actors to convey meaning; characters can be anything—a T-shirt, a phone, even a car.

Then there’s that pre-climax sequence where Abhimanyu multitasks, ramping up the tension to nail-biting levels. Absolute top-notch filmmaking.

At its core, Crazy reminds us that while we all seek validation, the only kind that truly matters is the one from our parents.
