Movies are a medium that has great potential to change the viewer's mindset. Movies help you form perspectives and give you a visual understanding of how the world works. They create images in your mind, painting scenes that stay with you. Since most movies end happily, we as viewers begin expecting our own stories to have happy endings too, which in turn makes us dream.
As the medium is dynamic and ever-evolving, tastes and preferences keep changing as well. Some people, as shown in this movie, just want entertainment because they're bored with their lives. Cinema offers different perspectives and holds different meanings for different people—and that's exactly what Superboys of Malegaon beautifully portrays.
Honestly, there are very few movies about movies that feel realistic and shed light on the glamorous yet challenging world of filmmaking. For me, Superboys of Malegaon stands at the forefront. I loved every actor in this movie, but the standout for me was Shashank. I adored everything about it—the only thing that could have been better was more fleshed-out characters and deeper exploration of their relationships.
This movie made me weep like a child and, most importantly, gave me a reason to dream again.
